Ex-Im: Use Twitter and Facebook to Spread the Word
Over the summer, conservatives ignited a national movement against the Export-Import Bank. This poster child for cronyism is now battling for its survival. But just as Americans across the country rose up to demand an end to Ex-Im, Congress, at the behest of the White House, is preparing to extend its expiring charter.
Use Twitter and Facebook to spread the word.
Ex-Im’s charter is set to expire on September 30th. The bank’s inside-the-beltway supporters — including President Obama — want an extension of Ex-Im to be attached to a “must-pass” bill to keep the government funded. This is more business-as-usual from Washington, and exactly the wrong thing to do.
Contacting your Representative this week, both through calls and on social media, will help us stop Ex-Im’s cronyism and corporate welfare once and for all.
