Pres. Obama to Speaker Boehner: Be More Liberal

As we begin 2012 and all the battles that are sure to be fought in the coming months, we can’t help but remember how spending actually increased last year, even though the radical “right-wing” of the Republican Party in the House supposedly made doing anything impossible.

Now, President Obama wants Speaker Boehner to ignore the strong conservatives in the House all together and rely only on Democrats and liberal Republicans to pass bills. Great, let’s just continue to ignore the out-of-control spending problem that our government has and the problems associated with that spending (like our debts, deficits and poor economy) and just continue the status quo. Hey, let’s ignore the Congressmen that were elected by the people who the President doesn’t agree with and only listen to the Congressmen that he does agree with. Who needs a robust democracy?

In November 2010, a historic election took place in which the people of America said the country needed to change direction. The people that were elected to lead that change, like Reps. Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Joe Walsh (R-IL), along with Tom Graves (R-GA), who was elected in a special election in 2010, all score above 95% on our scorecard. Add them to a long list of good conservatives that have been in Congress before 2011, like Reps. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and Trent Franks (R-AZ) – and it is clear that President Obama wants to ignore the conservative coalition in Congress that actually wants to rescue our economy.

The problem here is that President Obama and Democrats in the Senate refused to accept that they lost the 2010 elections. Instead of changing direction like the country wanted, they decided to plow forward with the status quo and call anyone who disagreed with them a “terrorist” or “obstructionist.” They claimed that House Republicans have done nothing, even though most bills they’ve passed have simply languished in the Senate since Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) refuses to bring them up for a vote.

President Obama doesn’t want to admit that Americans are unhappy with his leadership. He and the Democrats had two years of full control of the legislative branch, yet now they claim it is conservatives in the House that are holding up legislation. President Obama does not want these conservatives to continue to have their voices heard, because if they are, then the President stands no chance of re-election.
