Action Alert: The 54 Representatives that Stood with us on the CR [out of date]
Last week, 54 Republican Representatives voted to stop the madness. They understood funding the government in week-long increments was the wrong way to approach a massive problem. Their stand changed the tone of the debate in Washington, from one of small compromises to one of substantive of long-term spending decisions.
These 54 Republicans opposed the current three week spending bill:
Now is the time to stop playing politics and make the substantive, long-term decision to enact HR 1: cut federal spending and enact important policy riders.
If your Representative is not on the list, send an email encouraging a better choice next time. Current government funding runs out on April 8th. The next spending bill should run the duration of the fiscal year and include both the cuts and the policy riders of HR 1. Take action now.
